The daughter of the renowned general of the current dynasty, Xia Yun'er, entered the imperial harem through a political marriage. In the cutthroat arena of palace intrigue, Xia Yun'er climbed step by step toward the position of Empress. However, because the Xia family's influence threatened the Emperor's authority, she was caught in a fatal political crackdown. Xia Yun'er's life came to a tragic end in the wilderness.

When Xia Yun'er opened her eyes again, she found herself in the 21st century, rescued from the brink of despair on a rooftop by Chu Qiaosheng. As she gradually adjusted to the wonders and challenges of modern technology, she not only saw through her scheming best friend but also exposed the schemes of the deceitful Pei Chuan and the conniving Sun Jiajia. Along the way, she and the male lead gradually fell for each other, and she ultimately found a love that was genuine and fulfilling.
