Terms of Use

Here is the short handout on the rules for using Syntax Notes.

1. Your agreement to these terms

  • When you browse Syntax Notes, you accept these terms. If they do not sit right with you, please step away from the site.
  • You are responsible for making sure your use of the site fits with the rules where you live.

2. What this site is (and is not)

  • Syntax Notes is a study guide and preview service. We offer notes and let you watch the opening episodes — up to ten at most — to help you decide what to study next.
  • The full series are provided by the official app or apps under their own terms, prices and conditions. We do not control those apps and are not responsible for what you buy, subscribe to, or experience there.
  • Any questions about a purchase, a subscription, or how an app works should go to that app's publisher.

3. Preview rules: keep it personal

  • Previews on Syntax Notes are for your own personal, non-commercial viewing.
  • Please do not download, copy, re-host, scrape, or use automated tools to pull content from the site in bulk.
  • Do not share your access in a way that replaces a subscription to the official app.

4. Information is a sketch, not a contract

  • Details like episode counts, summaries, and notes are provided as is. They are our best sketch at the time, and they may change as series update.
  • We do not promise that everything is always complete, current, or error-free. Use the notes as a study aid, not as a final authority.
  • We may correct, remove, or update content at any time without notice.

5. Liability: within the law's limits

  • To the extent the law allows, Syntax Notes is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using, or being unable to use, the site or its previews.
  • This includes indirect or consequential losses, and any issues arising from third-party apps, purchases, or subscriptions.
  • Nothing here limits rights you have under the laws that apply to you.

6. Referral links

  • Some links to official apps or publishers on Syntax Notes are referral links. If you follow one and make a purchase or subscribe, Syntax Notes may earn a commission.
  • This does not change the price you pay, and it does not buy you a better note. Our study notes stay independent.

7. Copyright concerns

  • If you believe something on Syntax Notes infringes your copyright, please use the process on our takedown page rather than writing a general note.
  • That page explains what to include so we can review the matter promptly.

8. Updates to these terms

  • These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
  • If you keep using Syntax Notes after a change, you are accepting the updated terms.
