Privacy Policy

Here is a plain-language summary of how Syntax Notes handles information when you visit.

No accounts, no sign-up

  • You do not need an account to use Syntax Notes.
  • We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details to browse the site.
  • There is no login, no profile, and no password to remember.

What we process

  • Standard server logs: when you visit, our server records your IP address, browser and user agent, the pages you request, the referring page, and the time of your visit.
  • These logs are kept for a limited period and are used only for security and to keep the site running properly.
  • Aggregated, non-identifying visit statistics: we look at overall numbers, not individual visitors, to understand which parts of the site are used.
  • Click-through records: if you click a link to an official app, we record that click in aggregate (for example, by country and device type) to measure which titles are useful to readers.
  • Once you leave Syntax Notes for an official app, that app's own privacy policy applies. We do not control what happens there.

Cookies

  • We use only what is strictly necessary for the site to function, such as remembering your preferences.
  • We do not build advertising profiles.
  • We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not share personal data with advertisers.
  • We do not collect more than we need to run the site.

Children

  • Syntax Notes is not directed at children under 13 (or the local age of digital consent in your area).
  • If you believe a child has provided personal data, please write to us and we will remove it.

Your rights

  • You can ask for access to, or deletion of, any data linked to you.
  • To make a request, write to us at the email below. We will do our best to help.
