Will the Retired Demon Lord Become the Top Idol?

In short: 10 episodes, in English, original audio — episodes 1–10 play right here.

Istanur, the 97th World-Annihilating Demon Lord of the Demon Realm, has been fighting endless wars for ninety thousand years. Tired of her nonstop duties, she slams her fist on the table during an argument with her demon generals, tears open a spatial rift, and heads to Earth for a "vacation." But something goes wrong during the teleportation. Her soul merges with Chu Qingyan, a human girl who just died suddenly. Chu Qingyan is the true eldest daughter of the Bai Family. She was swapped at birth by her adoptive father, Chu Jun, and endured terrible hardship in a remote mountain village. She escaped at fifteen and was discovered by agent Su Sheng at seventeen, entering the entertainment industry. But when the Bai Family confirmed her identity, they refused to welcome her back. Instead, they introduced her as an "adopted daughter," forced her to sign an unfair contract, and sent her to the talent show Children of Starlight.

Their plan: use her beauty and popularity to boost Bai Yuyan — the fake heiress — and groom Bai Yuyan into a national idol for a marriage alliance with the Long Group. The original Chu Qingyan suffered from long-term bullying and online harassment, and died the night before the show started recording. After the Demon Lord takes over her body, she plans to keep a low profile and follow the rules. But Bai Yuyan and the Bai Family keep pushing her to the edge. Bai Yuyan is bound to a system called "Destiny Perfection." For fourteen years, she has been draining Chu Qingyan's pain and suffering to boost her own looks, singing skills, and popularity. But the Demon Lord has zero emotional reactions. The system starts to backfire, and Bai Yuyan's appearance begins to fall apart day by day.
