Battle-scarred General Evan Yates returns triumphant, now titled Lord Reginald. Attending sister Evelyn’s wedding in humble attire, she’s mistaken for a beggar—until the groom’s family betrays Evelyn.

Unleashing her authority, Evan humiliates them, annuls the marriage, and arranges a union with Duke Arlingford. But when their estranged parents reappear, Evan vows to make them regret their abandonment forever.
