International film star Ella Dawson finds herself caught in a media firestorm after being branded a "homewrecker." To ride out the crisis, she tracks down Cody Parker, a fisherman from Stargazer Village who accidentally wandered into a tabloid photo, and proposes a contract marriage.

But Cody carries a hidden past—he's been living in the village in seclusion for the past six months. When the drama-queen superstar descends upon this quiet, unassuming fishing village, its whole world is turned upside down, setting off one absurdly heartwarming moment after another.
