Summary notes

"Betrayed by his own men, Huo Shaoyu dies on the battlefield. The news reaches the capital, and the heroine collapses in grief, coughing up blood. Seizing the chance, Consort Li frames her for an illicit affair with him. Without hesitation, the Emperor orders the Empress executed and sends her young son away as a political hostage.

In her final moments of agony, Consort Li leans close and whispers that she has loved Huo Shaoyu for years—and blames the heroine for his death. A hidden guard strikes her down on the spot. But fate gives her another chance—she wakes up in the modern world, reborn."
