Summary notes
Sloane is the middle child her family always forgets. Every summer, they send her to work while taking her sister on trips. When they buy a new house without telling her, she takes an overseas job and leaves for good.
In a new city, engineer Julian shows her kindness she never knew. Her family only notices after she's gone, but Sloane has found her own place—and she won't return to theirs.
