Once the most gifted swordmaster of her generation, Elara is betrayed by Morrow, her bonded divine sword, when he chooses another woman and turns his blade against her. Instead of begging him to stay, Elara breaks their covenant and returns to the abyss where she first found him.

There, she discovers the truth: Morrow was never the one who saved her. Two far more powerful sword spirits, Surge and Magma, have been waiting for her all along—and both want to bond with her.
