Driven by love turned to hatred, Emilia met an accidental death at the funeral of Maxwell's first love, Willow. After being reborn, she had a sudden awakening and voluntarily took Willow's place to marry Vincent, who was rumored to be chronically ill. In Vincent's perilous family, she and the reserved Vincent progressed from testing each other to forming an alliance, joining forces to counter the schemes of his stepmother and uncle. Over time, genuine feelings developed between them.

Meanwhile, consumed by regret, Maxwell attempted to win her back but repeatedly found himself in danger due to Willow's vengeful madness. In the end, Emilia helped Vincent eliminate the family's enemies and regain control. The two embraced a loving life together, while Maxwell spent his remaining years in lonely regret.
