Summary notes

Ruth Wynter married into the Hart family hiding her martial arts skills. When they faced great danger, she intervened, expecting gratitude. Instead, punished by their sexist rules, she had her skills voided and was divorced.

Cast out, the Harts used her dowry to fund a new bride and smashed her mother's heirloom bracelet. Ruth, despairing and enraged, swore vengeance.
