Summary notes spoiler-light, read before episode 1

In short: 70 episodes, in English, original audio — episodes 1–10 play right here.

Over the span of five years, Liu Jianmei brought in 90% of the clientele for "Cuihua Hair Salon." However, she discovered a troubling discrepancy: new customers were charged 25 yuan for a shampoo, while loyal patrons like herself were asked to pay 35 yuan. When Liu Jianmei confronted the owner, Wang Cuihua, about this unfair pricing, she was publicly disgraced by Wang Cuihua in a humiliating fashion.

By a stroke of luck, Liu Jianmei came across a newly opened salon, "Caiyue Styling," owned by Jiang Caiyue and her husband. The couple prided themselves on fair and honest pricing—25 yuan for everyone—and used clean, high-quality products while treating their customers with genuine warmth. Impressed by their integrity, Liu Jianmei recommended all her acquaintances to the new salon. As business at "Cuihua Hair Salon" plummeted, Wang Cuihua grew resentful and hatched malicious schemes to retaliate. She hired people to fake accidents for extortion, knowingly sold spoiled hair care products, and engaged in unethical price undercutting. Her actions backfired spectacularly, leading to a series of disasters. After being scammed herself, her salon was shut down by authorities, her husband abandoned her, and she became a social pariah, her reputation utterly destroyed. Meanwhile, Jiang Caiyue continued to run her business with sincerity and diligence. Her salon thrived, expanding in size and revenue. Her ethical practices earned her the community's trust, and she was honored with the "Community Trust Award" for her outstanding contributions to the neighborhood.
