In the bustling 1980s, a time of change and opportunity, Li Jianming, a son-in-law who lived with his wife's family, worked tirelessly day and night to breathe new life into his father-in-law's struggling machinery factory. Yet, instead of gratitude, his father-in-law reneged on his promise to support him and, together with the rest of the family, undermined him and forced him to leave. Forced into a corner, Li Jianming took over an old factory building and started his own business. With his unparalleled skills and reputation for integrity, he secured a series of high-quality orders, and his factory began to thrive.

Driven by envy and resentment, his father-in-law's family repeatedly caused trouble, spreading malicious rumors and even deliberately sabotaging the factory's equipment. Their actions eventually crossed legal boundaries, leading to severe punishment. His ex-wife, blinded by stubbornness, faced a heartbreaking downfall. With the support of his trusted partner and confidante, Su Qing, Li Jianming steadily expanded his operations, establishing an industrial company. The two developed a deep bond, falling in love and beginning a joyful and fulfilling life together.
