Year of the Snake: Country Girl in the City

When migrant worker Dong Xiaocao’s father is critically injured by a corrupt boss after a failed wage protest, she ventures to the city seeking justice. There, she has a one-night stand with Huo Jinting—a cold-hearted business heir—who accuses her of seduction. Pregnant and penniless, she’s evicted from the hospital with her dying father.

Forced to scavenge on the streets, her father risks his life again to secure money for her unborn child. As both face mortal danger, Huo Jinting arrives like a thunderclap: he uncovers the truth about her innocence and her pregnancy. Suddenly, Dong Xiaocao finds herself cherished by his powerful family.
