Lin Bei, a seasoned master of offshore fishing, took Zhou Teng, the son of his blood brother, under his wing out of brotherly loyalty. Over the course of two years, he shared all his secrets without holding back—from understanding tides to battling with gigantic sea creatures. Together, they ran a sea fishing business: Lin Bei handled the fishing trips, while Zhou Teng managed sales and finances.

One day, after a particularly successful trip, they brought back a rare catch worth millions. However, greed took hold of Zhou Teng, and he embezzled the entire payment. When Lin Bei, desperate for money to pay for his daughter's college tuition, confronted him, Zhou Teng not only refused but shamed him in front of everyone. Adding insult to injury, Zhou Teng spread malicious rumors that ruined Lin Bei's standing in the fishing community, causing him to lose his livelihood entirely. Pushed to the brink, Lin Bei developed an innovative deep-sea fishing method specifically for massive catches. With a loan, he purchased a new boat and returned to the ocean. His superior hauls quickly established his reputation among elite fishermen. Meanwhile, Zhou Teng, resorting to underhanded tricks, saw his catches dwindle and his customers vanish. In the end, Zhou Teng was left with nothing.
