After ten rejections, Serena walked into a church and drew a stranger's name — Kaden, the feared War King. They married instantly. At the engagement party, Marcus crashed in — but Kaden revealed the truth: he saved Serena five years ago, gave the credit to Marcus, and took the blame, exiled to the border.

Serena cut Marcus loose and gave her heart to Kaden. Marcus regretted bitterly — too late. Serena found the man who silently protected her all along.
