Summary notes

On the Stargazer's Perch, two young princes once swore themselves to each other. That oath died the night Korrath's soldiers stormed Vorrath and left no member of its royal house alive — no one except the heir Seren was ordered to cut down with his own hands. Seren aimed away from anything fatal, and the world believed Prince Caelum was gone.

A decade passes. Then a fleet nobody can name appears at the edge of Lysara, and Korrath falls. The commander behind the mask is Caelum, and the man he has come to claim is not a prisoner of war but a slave. What does Caelum believe happened on that perch ten years ago? And can Seren survive long enough to tell him the truth before the chains between them tighten for good? A vow made on the Stargazer's Perch becomes the weapon of a ten-year revenge. Seren obeyed his father's order but spared the one life that mattered. Caelum returns masked, commanding a fleet, and takes Seren as his slave. Neither prince knows how much of the past the other has been carrying.
