Summary notes

Elena, adopted by House Valois, is forced to replace her pregnant elder sister Isabella to marry Richard, Lancaster’s rumored paralyzed heir. Isabella and her lover William frame her repeatedly, destroying her late mother’s relic and wedding dress, even hiring thugs to ruin her reputation.

Saved by Richard amid danger, Elena learns his disability is a ruse to purge traitors. He has searched for her for years, grateful for her childhood protection.
