Gianna, a brilliant trader who had given up her career for Asher, spent seven years quietly propping up his family's company. After Asher and his secretary Ivy fled the scene of a car accident, they mistakenly believed the victim was Gianna's mother, when in fact it was Asher's own mother, Chloe.

On her deathbed, Chloe left all her assets to Gianna and urged her to protect her rights. When Asher and Ivy demanded that Gianna sign a non-prosecution agreement, she refused, cut ties with both of them, and resolved to seek justice for Chloe.
