Madison, an elderly scavenger, adopted a mysterious black cat named Riley after her dying friend entrusted the cat to her. Riley was actually an ancient demon sealed in feline form, and he needed to stay beside someone pure of heart to cleanse his dark nature. A cat abuse ring led by Roman profited by brutally killing stray cats in livestreams, and they forcibly took Riley from Madison, beat her, and removed the seal on his collar.

The demon awoke, and the evildoers reaped what they had sown. Officer Anna recognized Riley from a childhood memory, and after a series of life and death trials, she helped him escape. A year later, Anna quit her job and turned the story into a short drama to advocate for animal welfare and push for anti-animal cruelty legislation, and Riley finally found a safe new life.
