Summary notes

Liora sacrifices her family, fortune, and dragons to save lover Caelan Draven, only to learn his capture was a cruel prank. Tortured and drugged, she fakes her death at Duskrun Racecourse and returns to her powerful dragon-breeding family.

When remorseful Caelan begs forgiveness, Liora rejects his atonement and chooses freedom over toxic love.
