In House Valerius, slender, favored Iris and plump, cursed Selene are sisters. In her past life, Selene was wrongly married off to Kael, the Dark Son who preferred men, abused as a breeding tool and finally burned alive by her jealous sister, Iris. After Selene is reborn before the divine wedding, Iris claims the virile Dark Son; Selene is forced to marry the frail Light Son, Aelius.

As the Fertility Goddess's chosen vessel, she conceives divine-blooded twins first, helping Aelius win the God-King's favor. Iris fakes a pregnancy; their parents plot a baby swap, but Aelius exposes the plot. In the end, Selene settles the score with everyone who wronged her.
