Despite her love for him, Violet breaks up with Luke to avoid burdening him after her family's bankrupcy. Seven years later, the once dirt-poor Luke has now become the hotshot CEO of Skyline Group, and when Violet accepts a position to work as the sales manager at his company, their paths cross again. Luke learns that after their breakup, Violet gave birth to a son, Jacob, but what Violet doesn't tell him is that he's the father. Assuming Jacob is the child of one of her many business clients, Luke looks down on Violet and makes her life at Skyline Group difficult while ignoring his lingering feelings for her.

Meanwhile, Violet faces bullying and harassment from Luke's jealous fiancée Samara and struggles to provide a stable life for her son. Will Luke learn the real reason that Violet broke up with him and realize he's been misjudging her all along? Will he discover her son's true origins before it's too late? Will the two of them overcome the years of distance and misunderstanding to return to each other's arms and raise their child together?
