Summary notes

Eleanor Hale, dismissed as an autistic fool, secretly understands all animals. To save her bankrupt family, she marries disabled, violent Julian Pierce.

With her gift, she saves his life, helps him seize corporate control, and warns of a landslide to rescue gala guests. Years later, Julian fully recovers; Eleanor becomes high society’s most respected hostess, and they live peacefully with twin children.
