Ordinary worker Lin Yang and his girlfriend Zhao Xiaoxi were truly in love, yet they endured constant harsh treatment from his vain mother-in-law Hou Guifen because of Lin Yang’s poor background. One day, just for fun, Lin Yang photoshopped a lottery ticket to show a 100 million yuan jackpot and posted it on social media. Hou Guifen took the fake post at face value, convinced her son-in-law had suddenly become rich.

She bragged about it to everyone and rushed to arrange their wedding, forcing the couple to get married immediately. Desperate to seize this chance to marry, Lin Yang and Zhao Xiaoxi had no choice but to play along. They filled cheap bulk liquor into fake Moutai bottles, used milk tea tapioca pearls to pass off as caviar, and bought cheap stall porcelain as antique betrothal gifts, trying to fool all the relatives and guests with a pile of fakes.
