Three years into marriage, on the night Serena went into labor, she caught her husband Carson having an affair at the private hospital he owned. To please his mistress, Carson forbade her from giving birth, ignoring her water had already broken and showing no concern for her or their child. But Carson never knew that Serena was the daughter of Italy's most powerful mob boss. The moment he mistreated her, he had already stepped into an abyss from which there was no return.
