Summary notes

Mira saved her husband Darian with magic, left with crippling magical backlash. But he and their son Nico keep slipping through a magic painting into a monster world, siphoning off her food, medicine and even her blood for another pregnant woman Elara.

Betrayed and left for dead, Mira burns the painting, divorces him, and builds a bright new life. Darian loses everything, spiraling into madness chasing the vanished portal forever.
