Sindra, a human thief falsely imprisoned by a jealous employer, is given an ultimatum by the Dragon King's father: bed his son Draven — rumored to be a beast who leaves his lovers dead— and give him an heir, or die. Unknown to his father, Sindra and Draven already share a history: years earlier he rescued her from the cold and courted her in secret before her employer had her arrested.
When Draven is pressured into an arranged engagement, Sindra flees while pregnant with his twins rather than risk being discarded or having her children taken from her.
