The male lead marries the female lead, intending for her to serve as a stand-in for his white moonlight (first love), unbeknownst to her. When the white moonlight returns, he drives the female lead away. As the white moonlight flaunts their affection and stirs trouble for the female lead, the male lead sides with her every time. The female lead drifts further from him, growing closer to the second male lead.

Upon uncovering the white moonlight's scandals, the male lead gradually realizes his true love is the female lead and sets out to win her back. However, she distrusts his sincerity, believing he's still unclear about his feelings and merely using her as a substitute toy to assuage his regrets. After he painstakingly proves his genuine heart, the two remarry.
