Summary notes

Xia Youmei, an eighteen-year-old born prodigy, boasts an IQ of 220. She claimed top honors in every exam growing up and was admitted to Shengjing No. 1 High School as the province's top-ranked student. Her biological father Xia Jianguo had an affair with Zhang Xiaoli, the owner of a beauty salon.

Favoring Zhang Xiaoli's daughter Xia Zhenzhen, he turned a blind eye when Zhang Xiaoli transferred all of Xia Youmei's life-saving medical funds. Delayed treatment for a high fever left Xia Youmei appearing mentally impaired. Her mother Qin Wan, a kind and resilient woman, scraped by collecting trash to raise her daughter, and the two endured relentless bullying from school staff, classmates, Xia Zhenzhen, and Zhang Xiaoli.
