Retired Colonel Ambrose Aldercott secretly flies home commercial with his granddaughter Rosalind. At the airport, his son’s fiancée Odessa mistakes them for con artists, rips out his oxygen, makes Rosalind kneel and shine her shoes, then cuts her face and hair.

Instead of exposing her right away, Rosalind quietly gathers evidence. At her grandfather’s 80th birthday party, she makes Odessa pay in front of everyone, and uncovers the veterans’ money she stole.
