Summary notes

Megan Hayes, a love-struck fool, proposed to Jackson Vance after just 99 days. Eyeing her $100,000 dowry, he faked his consent. After marriage, she was worked like a dog by her mother-in-law, had her gold bracelet stolen, and lost her $500,000 dowry to her husband's gambling. His abuse even caused her to miscarry.

Jackson then forced her to drink and sleep with Mr. Sterling. Her mother was beaten into a coma trying to save her. Megan finally woke up, broke ties with the Vance family, sent the abusers to jail, and returned to her parents.
