Rosie's husband joined the military and never returned, leaving her to raise their son while facing severe financial hardship and societal pressures. Faced with dire poverty and her son falling ill, she was forced to make a heartbreaking decision due to limited resources and medical options; she chose to save only Neal. Twenty years later, as Neal pursued individual success, he denied his family ties and even sought to harm his mother.
Marc intervened to save her, and in the process, they reconciled. Through numerous challenges, Rosie was eventually honoured for her efforts in combating an epidemic during a widespread health crisis that affected the community. She returned home, bringing Neal's ashes back to his hometown.
