Summary notes

At Oak Ridge High School in Texas, football is everything. Ethan, the star quarterback, is handsome and confident; Ava, the cheer captain, commands the crowd at every game.

Though they are the school’s most prominent students, they have never truly crossed paths. Ethan dismisses cheerleading as eye candy, while Ava sees the players as arrogant jerks—until an accident forces them to plan the homecoming carnival together and discover each other’s hidden sides.
