Summary notes
Young researcher Isla meets dragon Opal on the Emerald Sky‑Isles. She teaches him courtship rituals for her thesis, unaware he is a mate‑imprisoning Nidhogg. He captures her, ruins her ship, implants a dragon pearl and chains her in his lair. A dream recovers her forgotten childhood promise to him.
She falls for him and bears his egg. When Opal releases her, her professor traps him. Heartbroken, he thinks she betrayed him; Isla must prove her true love.
